David makes a review of the iTaste VV version 2, he shares his own vaping thoughts of iTaste on e-cig-reviews.com/forum and says: My overall impression is very favourable and it is definitely a VV mod I would recommend. With my cartos and my direct dripping attys the ability to add additional voltage over a non-variable device like a standard ego battery, makes this unit a no brainer for me. I was able to get much better results with all my other devices simply because I could vary the voltage and find their specific sweet spots for each and every liquid I use.
Before starting his review, David makes a comparison between the iTaste version1 and iTaste version 2: I no longer get a tight draw when using the tank system that came with my iTaste, which in turn has helped the vapour production greatly and that in turn has improved the throat hit and the taste of the device. I still get a build up of condensation within the system, but it is nowhere near as pronounced as it was before. The reason I had to wait for a new battery was because Innokin released a second version which differed from the previous version and I must say it has made a vast difference to the overall experience. Both versions of the battery allow you to vary the voltage in 0.1v increments from 3.3v up to a maximum of 5v. Version 1 of the battery will (with the simultaneous pressing of both buttons under the display) give you a read out of the recommended minimum and maximum voltages to be used and although it will let you set a voltage higher than the maximum recommendation, it wont actually deliver a voltage equal to what you set. Instead it only delivers voltage up to the maximum it recommends. Version 2 of the battery will allow you to use any voltage irrespective of what it recommends (I hope that makes sense).

Details of iTaste VV review by David:
Other features of the battery are obviously a display, (which is of the 3 digit variety), a pass through (which will allow users to vape whilst charging the battery), voltage regulation circuitry, short circuit protection, a power button which also can be used to switch the battery completely on or off with 3 quick presses (also lights up green, yellow or red according to how much power is left in the unit) and a magnetic connection to attach the bespoke tank system that comes with the iTaste.
It is also possible to attach other cartomizers/atomizers to this battery, but users have to make sure they get the optional attachment for whatever connection they have, be it 510, 808 etc.
The display
3 Digit red LED with 2 buttons underneath marked with a + and a – for adjusting the voltage up and down. It also shows users how many times they have pressed the main switch, they call it a puff counter.
Battery run time
This is a very difficult question to answer because of the variable volt nature of the device and the fact that users could be using various different resistances of atty/carto, but David found if he used the 3.2ohm atty which comes with the device, as a moderate vaper, David was getting almost a days worth of vaping. Its an 800mah Lithium-polymer battery and being lithium-polymer does not mean it will last longer than an 800mah lithium-iron battery (they are both 800mah at the end of the day) but it will allow users to recharge it for almost twice as many cycles in comparison to lithium iron (lith-iron usually 300 cycles quoted, lith-poly is usually quoted at around 500).
Pass through
The only reason David give this a separate specific mention is because the adaptor that attaches to the unit is very small and does not have a very long cord, nor does it feel secure when attached. It in fact takes very little force for the adaptor to become unattached, so whilst it has the functionality to be used as a pass through device, users might find in practice its not very practical.
Vaping experience using version 2 battery
David used the battery with a number of different attys and cartos as well as the tank system it comes with. David found the best experience of using the iTaste with its tank system was with the 3.2ohm atomizer set at 4.8v. This provided a good vapour production, a decent flavour and a good throat hit.
