Question by Heather C: Has anyone tried the electronic cigarettte? If so, how did you wean from traditional cigarette?
My husband purchased the electronic “Cigotine” cigarette two weeks ago to cut down on the expense of traditional cigarettes ($ 8.00 a pack to approximately $ 1.00 a pack). However, he is having trouble weaning from the regular cigarette to the electronic cigarette ast he doesn’t know how much of the electronic cigarette he should “smoke” to get the same nicotine relief as he would from a regular cigarette. He explained to me that when smoking a regular cigarette, he knew how much he needed to smoke at a time to calm his nicotine craving, but with the electronic cigarette he has been having trouble judging it. He either “smokes” too much and gets headaches or too little and gets very irritable. Any suggestions?

He needs to find the level that is right for him. Ask him to start counting the puffs to see how many puffs work best for him … After a while it will become more natural – no more counting needed
